NASHVILLE, Tenn. — December 10, 2005 — Shooter Stein has been named president of National Certified Alarms Inc. (NCA) and will assume more operational responsibilities in 2006, the company has announced.
Previously, Stein served as vice president of the company. In addition to overseeing general operations, a majority of outside sales and technology, Stein plans to focus on expanding the company’s reach in Middle Tennessee.
Following the company’s philosophy of“Quality Service at Affordable Prices,” Stein aims to add 1,400-1,500 new customers in 2006. NCA Inc. offers alarm-monitoring services for $9.95 per month compared to the industry average of $35.
“We really see our future in alarm conversions,” Stein said. “We can offer the same level of monitoring of other companies but for a far better price. Most people don’t realize they can switch to another alarm monitoring service regardless of the type of alarm system they have in their home or business.”
NCA Inc. was founded in 1997 by James A. Stein, who believed people were paying too much for alarm monitoring and sought to offer high quality service for a lower price than the industry norm. Following through with that objective, NCA has averaged 40 percent growth year over year and now serves approximately 6,000 customers in Middle Tennessee.
His son, Shooter Stein, joined the company as an installer and learned the business from the ground up until he was promoted to management and earned his way through the ranks. As president, Shooter will continue to work alongside his father, who will remain as CEO of the company.
